Monday Makeover Link Party Take 6

Hello, my friends!  Every week here at the Monday Makeover for Your Table link party I write about how this party is a place to share anything that makes your table a special place, from pretty tablescapes to recipes, from family games and devotionals to DIY decor and sewing projects.  I try to offer a hospitable place to share what makes you and your home special.  It is with a very full heart this week that I share what a hospitable place YOU have all made my blog this week!

In the very beginning of my blog I was hesitant to share too much about myself for fear it would seem self-absorbed or boring to all of you.  I've recently realized as a reader of blogs that I love getting to know the authors, to feel the connection that comes from a sense of sharing and even vulnerability.  So I decided this week to share a little more of myself and not just the humble creations that come out of this busy mind.  Vicki from 2 Bags Full hosted a blog event which served as my impetus to really introduce myself to all of you.

My cup runs over with gratitude to all of you wonderful people who visited, left me uplifting comments, and became followers of my blog!  To think that there are people all over this world extending a hand of friendship to me by reading my words, communicating with me and sending me virtual hugs leaves me speechless!  A big heartfelt thank you to each one of you who takes time to pay me a visit!

I share these feelings with you in this post in order to highlight how YOU, my readers, have showed the hospitality and warmth I wish for this link party to convey.

I am also in awe that this little party of mine has grown in 5 weeks from 5 link-ups the first week to 25 last week!  What fun we had visiting each other's blogs and seeing some amazing projects.  Thank you for participating; it's always a little nerve-wracking to host a party and wonder if any guests are going to show up.  My new blog friends don't disappoint!  I better move on to this week's features and the party before I scare you all off with my overflow of emotion - just know that I appreciate each one of you!

I'm sorry to say there are no table related creations from me this week, for our table was way too occupied with this past time:

Yes, those are lots and lots of puzzles!  You should see dinnertime; it was quite interesting eating around all the puzzles so we didn't have to take them apart.  If you're wondering why the kids look so somber, it's not because they were forced into puzzle building (they actually enjoyed it!); they look like zombies because we had a beautiful sunny day here today and spent all of it at the park reuniting with old friends and family.  Quite the successful day in my book!

On to this week's features!  Seriously, y'all (there's that Texan), no one told me the hardest part of hosting a link party is choosing only a few projects to feature as they were all amazing!

The most viewed link this week came from our friend Kathe again from Kathe With an E.

Many have loved her Easy Valentine's Day Wreath, as evidenced by the 211 times it has been repinned from my Pinterest page.  Way to go, Kathe!  Thanks for sharing!

Some of my favorites this week included

Valentine Mantel
Laurie made her own cornstarch dough hearts for this mantel and shared the recipe with all of us.

I love that she got creative and made this project to brighten up her office at work - a great way to show how your project makes life better! Plus she's a new blogger, so go say hi!

Letter-Sized Thank You Cards - Silhouette Tutorial & FREE Cut File by The Thinking Closet
Lauren embodied this party's spirit of hospitality and connection by making real life thank you cards (an art that is dying) and embracing the challenge of using her brand new Silhouette!

Jen from Through My Creative Mind transformed a $10 thrift store lamp into this beautiful creation: Lamp Gone Turquoise

I wish I could feature every gorgeous and inspiring project here, but I'm pretty sure even the most patient of you would get tired of reading and scrolling down.  If you were featured, please feel to grab a button from the right sidebar to share on your blog if you'd like.

On to the par-tay.  Here are the guidelines:

I hope you feel a sense of hospitality here to link up any project that shows off how you enjoy your table - recipes, family game night activities, tablescapes, DIY decor, sewing projects, new dishes, ideas for a smoother mealtime, you name it.  Just show us what makes your table a special place!

How to share your own humble creations:
  1. Please grab a button or add a text link back to my site somewhere in your post.
  2. Feel free to post more than one project, but please be sure to link back to the specific post, not your main page.
  3. Please consider following me (FacebookPinterestBloglovinGoogle +, Google Friend Connect, RSS feed).  It's not required, but you might find something you like!
  4. The link party will be up from Sunday evening through Friday evening.
  5. Each Monday I will feature the most viewed link along with some of my favorites, so check back to see if you've been featured.
  6. Please don't forget to visit some of the other link-ups for great ideas and inspiration.
  7. Have fun making your tables special!

    1. Kathe - it's a beautiful and fun project. I think people are looking for quick, easy and cheap without it looking like those things, and yours is certainly lovely! Thanks again for sharing and for linking up this week!
