Monday Makeover is now A New Creation Link Party!

A few weeks ago I shared that as this blog is evolving, my weekly link party would be moving away from table-related projects exclusively to a broader invitation to share all types of creative projects.  I promised a new party button would be following.  As I tried to create a button to fit with the theme of my blog, I realized I didn't care much for that theme/color scheme.  I've been working to update the cosmetics and content of my blog and thought this would be a good time to transition the link party as well.

To reflect the nature of a link party for all types of projects and ideas you have created, this link party is now called A New Creation.   Please feel free to grab a button from the sidebar if you'd like!

Thanks to all who linked up last week!  We had a great turnout of projects and so many wonderful ideas.
The most viewed link was from Julie at Renew, Create, Restore.  She shared her Crate Transformation.

Julie has a knack for finding "garbage" and turning it into something useful, inspiring, and fun!

Some favorites this week included:

This DIY Statement Necklace from Weiya at Enjoyer of Grace.

Jewelry is one creation I've never attempted, but Weiya's project and tutorial made it look so stylish and easy that this project is going on my ever-growing to do list!

Lauren at The Thinking Closet shared her Burlap Love Banner.  It combines two of my favorites: burlap and words!  While she made it for Valentines Day, this is a project you could use for other celebrations, such as a bridal shower.

Even better, if you have a Silhouette, you're in luck!  She provided the free cut file so you get all the pretty without having to do all the work.

Mamma Nene at Serger Pepper shared her Owl Costume she created for her little one.  She is a new blogger with a blog in both Italian and English and she has some beautiful projects!

Thank you to all for sharing your talent with us!  If you were featured and would like to display a button, please feel free to grab one from the sidebar and flaunt away!
Now on to this week's party!

  4. I love the new color for your blog and the new name for your party. All the art is lovely. And I'm impressed that you were able to do it all yourself. Yay!

    1. Thanks Diane! I do appreciate the encouraging feedback. It can be a little scary to change it all up, but I'm liking the results so far! I did design the header and buttons myself using picmonkey and paint, but I used digital scrapbook paper I purchased rather than creating the art from scratch.

  5. Wow! I am lovin' the makeover over here - - from the new design to the new buttons and the new party name. You did some serious work over here, and it paid off! You've really created a welcoming, soothing atmosphere.

And another wow! My project was featured this week? And I get to grab one of your new buttons to add to my features page? Thanks so much, Jessica! You made my night.

Now, I gotta get back to creating so I can join this week's party. And even though your party is no longer table focused, I just may have a table-related project to share! ;-)

    Warmly,
    Lauren

    1. Lauren, thanks for your sweet words of encouragement. This design definitely feels more like me and more like home, so I'm glad to hear you and so many of my other dear blog friends are enjoying it too!

And I was glad to feature your love banner. It is such a lovely and versatile project! I'm trying to figure out how I might incorporate that idea into the bridal shower I'll be hosting in a few months.

Like you, I need to get creating this week. I've been so busy playing with design that my poor other projects are feeling a little neglected!
