Monday Makeover Link Party Take 9

Welcome back to another Monday Makeover!  Can't wait to see what y'all have been up to this week!

I've been knitting away to my goal of donating a knitted blanket for a child in need of comfort through Project Linus.  If you're interested in joining me in creating for this worthy cause, check out this post and leave me a comment so I can send you some encouragement along the way.  I decided to try knitting a different pattern than my original plan using this yarn I purchased on sale this week.  I'm using popsicle blue as my color and attempting the free pattern found at TLC. (Isn't that little model baby a doll?)

Tomorrow I'm flying to Pennsylvania with a layover on the way.  I thought it would be a great time to make progress on my baby blanket but wasn't sure if knitting needles were allowed in a carry-on bag.  Good news needle artists - according to the TSA website, knitting needles are generally considered permissible for flights.  So hopefully after the flights there and back home on Tuesday I will have lots of knitted beauty to share with you later in the week!

Thank you to everyone who linked up last week!  I know I say this every week, but only because it's true;  I appreciate each one of you so much and have the hardest time picking projects to feature as each is inspiring.

The most viewed project this week was Pallet Heart Art from Julie at Renew, Create, Restore.  She has some seriously creative projects and is so good at repurposing.

Some of my favorites included:

A sweet Valentine Dress from Pam at Threading My Way.  I had to share her work because, not only is she talented at sewing and always trying out new techniques, she is busy creating projects to donate to various charities.  This little dress is making its way to Dress A Girl Around The World.  Thanks Pam for sharing your talent with girls in need and inspiring me to get sewing more!

First Birthday party details from Jamie at Better With Age.  She hosted a precious party for her baby girl and has been sharing all the details in a series.  This post shows off her party invitations and favors. Her party has been a very popular pin from my Monday Makeover Link Party board on Pinterest this week!

This beautiful Red and White Winter Table from Diane at An Extraordinary Day.  What can I say...pretty tables always get me!

With all these pretty tables and parties, we need something to eat!  Check out the Crock Pot Chocolates from Patty at Patty's Pretty Things - a treat you can whip up in time for Valentines.  Y'all will have to let me know how good they are as the recipe calls for peanuts and we've got a peanut allergy kiddo in our home, but believe me, I'm droolin' over them!

Thank you friends!  I enjoyed all of your wonderful creations.

On to the party! How to share your own humble creations:
  1. Please grab a button or add a text link back to my site somewhere in your post.
  2. Feel free to post more than one project, but please be sure to link back to the specific post, not your main page.
  3. Please consider following me (FacebookPinterestBloglovinGoogle +, Google Friend Connect, RSS feed).  It's not required, but you might find something you like!
  4. The link party will be up from Sunday evening through Friday evening.
  5. Each Monday I will feature the most viewed link along with some of my favorites, so check back to see if you've been featured.
  6. Please don't forget to visit some of the other link-ups for great ideas and inspiration.
  7. Have fun!

    1. Thanks Laurie! I understand about finishing up some projects first. I'm switching back and forth. It's going well, that is until I end up with a quilt block sewn to my knitted project if I forget which one I'm on! Thanks for joining me!

  5. Hi Jess, thanks for hosting the party. Don't know whether to wish you a short layover so you get where you need too or a long layover so you make tons of progress on your blanket...lol Have a safe trip!

    1. Ha! Well, since I am speaking at a dinner tonight, it would probably be good if my layover is short, but I sure appreciate the sentiment of having more knitting time!

Thanks for joining in this week!
